Interactive takes top prize at CRN Impact Awards
Announcement - 26 August 2022Trusted Systems Award winner
We are thrilled to announce that Interactive has won this year’s Trusted System’s Award at CRN’s Impact Awards.
The ceremony and gala dinner marked the end of CRN’s three-day Pipeline conference in the Gold Coast, attended by the industry’s most influential channel partners. The Trusted Systems Award recognises projects that improve customer resilience through data protection, enhanced security, business continuity or improving an organisation’s ability to recover from a disaster.
Competing in a highly competitive category, Interactive’s digital transformation project with APT Travel Group (ATG) is what landed us top prize.
“We are delighted to win this year’s Trusted Systems Award. We pride ourselves on being a trusted technology partner for our customers and our work with ATG is a perfect example of this. A big thank you to everyone involved in this project and of course to ATG who continues to partner with us for end-to-end IT solutions”, shared Brendan Fleiter, Executive Chair, Interactive.

CRN recognised this project as a great example of not battening down the hatches but commencing digital modernization when under crisis. When the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, ATG and the wider travel industry was ultimately brought to a standstill – motivating ATG to pivot its business priorities and focus on digital transformation.
“We’ve taken this as an opportunity to refresh our business strategy and really focus on where we want to go from a digital and technology point of view. So, we’ve partnered with Interactive to give us greater scale and capability”, shared Lorna Heyward, COO, ATG.
As part of ATG’s security transformation, we helped to re-baseline and improve their overall risk position. Using Microsoft Azure best practice guidelines, we migrated ATG’s environment and rebuilt it into Azure public cloud, providing enhanced security for the business.
“Winning this award is a real honour. I’m so proud of what our team have delivered. It’s been an absolute pleasure working with ATG over the past year. I look forward to many successful years working together”, shared Tim Sparks, Senior Business Development Manager, Cloud and Managed Services.
