Interactive announces the appointment of Alex Coates as CEO

Interactive, one of Australia’s leading IT service providers, today announced the appointment of Alex Coates as Chief Executive Officer, effective from 28th January 2025.

Alex will lead the executive leadership team and drive Interactive’s growth strategy across its Cloud, Cyber and Systems business units, strengthening Interactive’s position as the foremost trusted technology partner in Australia.

As a highly respected leader with extensive international experience, Alex has a proven track record of propelling growth and spearheading transformation, whilst fostering strong customer and partner engagement. She most recently served as Managing Director of Datacom Australia, a role she held for over four years. Prior to this, Alex was Chief Operating Officer of Datacom’s ANZ operation.

Originally from the UK, Alex came to Australia with Fujitsu in 2008, running large scale operations teams in Canberra and Melbourne in both the public and private sectors.

For the past three years Brendan Fleiter has held the dual position of Chairman and Chief Executive. Under his stewardship, Interactive has strengthened its market position, while fostering a culture of excellence and collaboration. Brendan will remain Chairman when Alex assumes the role of CEO.
